Frequently Asked Questions

Can I withdraw my savings anytime?
Savings can only be withdrawn upon termination of membership as per bye-law 8.7.4. This ensures the cooperative has stable liquidity to grant loans to members.
How soon can I get a loan after joining?
You become eligible to apply for a loan after 6 months of active membership and consistent monthly savings (bye-law 10.3).
How much loan can I get?
Except for business loans, no loan shall exceed thrice (3x) your total monthly savings.
Do I have to pay the ₦50,000 share capital at once?
No. While full immediate payment is encouraged (and qualifies you for bonus allocations if paid within 3 months), you can pay your share capital in installments over a period of 6 months.
What happens to my funds if I die?
Every member must declare a Nominee (Next of Kin) during registration. In the event of death, all accumulated savings, shares, and dividends (minus any outstanding liabilities) are paid directly to your registered Nominee.
Who can join the cooperative?
Membership is open to financial members of Auchi Allied Association, sons and daughters of Auchi, spouses and approved affiliates, and any individual committed to cooperative principles.
